March 5th Performers:
Cam Pierce has been cultivating a following of bona fide folks in this Midwest for several years now and always looks forward to seeing his friends in the “middle”. On the schedule are dates in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, Missouri and Arkansas. Keep an eye out and ahead for this guy. There’s no ego, no grandiose dream of fame and stardust in his brain. Just a love and a hungry passion to tell stories and exchange experiences with others through words, melody and the road. He is a songwriter, a teller of things, plain and simple. A man who works diligently at his craft. A man who is just as thrilled to share songs around a campfire as he is playing the Country Music Hall of Fame. A simple man with an extraordinary knack for music creation.
Gas City’s own Jesse Beals is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. Now, he is covering southern Indiana with his clever and thought-provoking original songs and razor sharp banjo playing. Jesse spent his school days playing in punk and metal bands, all the while writing and playing acoustic originals. You can find the Beals Man in the honky tonk playing drums with his longtime pals in the Rhett Family Band, around a bonfire with a mandolin, or leading the charge with Low Landers.
Devin Brown is multi instrumentalist, singer songwriter who started out backing up his old man, Thom Brown’s original music on stage, when he was 15. His dad is still his biggest supporter, musical confidante, and songwriting inspiration. Over the years he has picked up several instruments and played with lots of different string band projects. In recent years he has focused a lot on bass, both electric and upright on stage and in the studio. Working with creative artists to mourn and celebrate our human condition through original music is his thing. In recent years his role has mostly been that of a side musician, supporting songwriters in the studio and on stage in various configurations with guitar, backing vocals, bass (upright and electric) and of course mandolin!
